He founded Medebiz, a health care supply chain solution provider; American Hytech Corporation, a telecom/network solution provider; Netguru, a network management software solution company, and Instaplan, a project planning and management software company.

Thomas S. Emerson, Ph.D
S.Thomas Emerson is the director of the Donald H. Jones Center for Entrepreneurship at Carnegie Mellon University. Dr. Emerson was president and CEO of Arizona Technology Incubator (public -private partnership that mentors promising young technology companies)before joining Carnegie Mellon. Emerson enjoyed considerable entrepreneurial success before he left the private sector. He co-founded Periphonics Corporation(voice processing systems)in 1969 and served the company in various executive capacities for 14 years.
