Based in London and originally from Mexico City, Jan has lived and worked in more than 20 countries and brings extensive experience across payments, financial services, strategy, and entrepreneurship. He began his career as the founder of InfoAmericas, which was later sold to Kroll Associates/Marsh McLennan, and subsequently held senior roles at Kroll, Banco del Progreso and Edgar, Dunn & Company.
Jan's expertise spans commercial and real-time payments, financial inclusion, money transfer, digital and open banking, card payments, emerging payments, strategic due diligence and transaction advisory.
He serves on the Financial Services Advisory Board of the Inter-American Dialogue, mentors entrepreneurs through Stanford University's Latino Entrepreneur Program, and is active with the SME Finance Forum. Jan has studied business, sustainability, and philosophy in Mexico, the United Kingdom, and Brazil.
